Hi everyone! I have taken a long hiatus from posting on the blog, with the reason revealed today. Trigger warning of pregnancy. My latest post is about manifesting your wildest dreams and desires. I entered a dark period in 2022 when our second donor egg cycle with the remaining eggs left from my son’s donor did not work. I was having a difficult time at work and was generally incredibly unhappy. The unhappiness was permeating into our home life, and that is when I started my journey of deep soul searching which led me to manifesting what I wanted out of life. A few months later, I became pregnant naturally with baby number 2! Check out my post and my journey of soul searching under latest posts in Fertility – link to my site in my bio. 💜 In my latest fertility blog post (linked in my profile), I write about coping with the difficult emotions during the fertility journey (feeling sad when family or friends announce pregnancies) and my experience with hiring a fertility life coach to help me through my struggles. Have you used a life coach? What are your coping mechanisms? I’d love to hear about them in the comments below! The fertility journey takes a tremendous toll on your relationship and marriage. I know of a number of relationships that have not been able to survive the rollercoaster of emotions of IVF, and friends have commended my husband and I for being able to maintain our strong and thriving relationship throughout the arduous journey. In my latest post, I talk about what helped us keep our relationship strong and how we decompressed in between failed cycles. Check out my latest fertility post on my blog, linked in my profile. Easy Weeknight Dinners are back! This time, I spun up a summery corn and cheesy gnocchi with rosemary and honey glazed bacon. This dish is so delicious and easy to make – perfect for those busy nights, and for using up the summer corn that is in abundance during the summer. The gnocchi is so versatile and I’ve made it with pan seared scallops, pan fried salmon as well as the rosemary and honey glazed bacon, to give you some ideas for protein mains. Recipe up on my blog, linked in my profile! I recently whipped up a super simple banoffee pie to bring to a friend’s place for dinner. I made it using my go-to toffee recipe, which consists of 3 ingredients – heavy cream, brown sugar and butter. This is the ideal potluck dessert to bring as it is absolutely delicious, takes less than 30 mins to make and can be made with ingredients you should have on hand! Recipe on my blog, linked in my profile. I recently created a personalized book using @mixbook to tell my baby his special egg donor story! I was inspired to do this by @donorchild. I see this question so many times that I thought I would share my experience with continuing to pursue my career while undergoing fertility treatments.
